If you are planning to get married at the Arya Samaj Temple and happy that the certificate issued by the temple trust will suffice your requirements of marriage certificate then hold on. According to the new ruling by Allahabad High Court, the certificate issued by the Arya Samaj Mandir would not be honoured.

Justice Saurabh Shyam Shamsher while listening a petition in a Ghaziabad related case said this was being done to check the gross misuse of power to issue certificates. It further said that offlate there is a flood of cases wanting to register marriages at the Arya Samaj Mandir. Mostly, the certificates are being used for wrong purposes.

The court has rejected the the petition. With that the age-old process of honouring the marriage certificate by the Arya Samaj Mandir at par with marriage registrar stands cancelled.
