Stand-up comedian Raju Srivastava, the man who brought smiles to faces of millions lost his battle with life after 41-days on Wednesday (today) at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS). Earlier, the doctors and family members had informed and were hopeful as the Raju Srivastava had gained consciousness.
The man who was not so popular face during the 1980’s had began his career with a few shows on then Doordarshan. He participated in a realty show ‘The Great Indian Laughter Challenge’ (2005). His main item used to be mimicking Amitabh Bachchan.
Much later, he created a few cult charecters like ‘Gajodhar Bhaiya’ that became very popular. He used to raise issues with this character.
Later, Raju Srivastava participated in numerous realty shows as judge. He used to capture the hearts of his audiences with his entry on the stage.
He became the Chairperson of the Film Development Council Uttar Pradesh.
