On Deepawali, Rishi Sunak was elected as the Prime Minister of United Kingdom. This came like a big surprise to many across the globe as Sunak being an Indian origin was the first non-white Prime Minister of UK. The social media was abuzz with greetings, and congratulations messages. From eminent political leaders to common people took to twitter to wish Sunak on his becoming new UK Prime Minister.

The Prime Minister referring to a framework agreement struck between the two countries. “Special Diwali wishes to the ‘living bridge’ of UK Indians, as we transform our historic ties into a modern partnership”, added PM Modi.
