Republic Day is approaching. Like every year this year too preparations are at its peak.

On January 23, 2023, as per the ritual, the full dress rehearsal will commence across Delhi. The marching contingents will take part in the full dress rehearsal that will travel thorough the actual route for the Republic Day parade.

The Delhi Traffic Police has issued an advisory and requested the commuters to avoid certain routes during the rehearsal that will begin at 10:30 am from Vijay Chowk renamed as Kartavya Path.

The parade will start from Vijay Chowk or Kartavya Path and proceed to the Red Fort via Kadwatipath, C-Hexagon, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose statue, Tilak Marg, Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg and Netaji Subhash Marg. Commuters are advised to plan their travel well in advance and avoid crossing the parade route between 9:30 am to 1 pm on January 23.

Follow the traffic advisory to avoid harassment due to traffic snarls. Also, many of the roads will be closed from Sunday evening for security reasons.
