The statue of Neeb Karori Baba also known as Neem Karoli Baba fondly MaharajJI, will be unveiled on the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami (March 29, 2023) at the Birla Hanuman Mandir, Buddhist Monastery Market, Kashmiri Gate (near ISBT), Delhi-110006. Don’t miss this occasion to seek the blessings of Lord Hanuman, Shree Ram and Neeb Karori Baba.

The Abhishek (religious ritual of holly bath) will commence at 9am, Havan at 10 am, Hanuman Chalisa path at 11 am followed by special puja and bhandara (community lunch) from 12 noon to 2 pm. Sunderkand path, bhajan, kirtan followed by evening aarti will take place from 2 pm to 6 pm.

Devotees are requested to attend this rare moment and take the blessings of Neeb Karori Baba and HanumanJi. Being Ram Navami, the day become very special as HanumanJi was a devout follower and devotee of Sree Ram.

This temple has a long history. Late Narayan Swamy, father of present priest Gopal Swami (PunditJi), had applied for the job of a priest when Ghanshyam Das Birla had published an advertisement seeking priest for Laxmi Narayan Temple popularly Birla Mandir). First round of interview went well. Young Swamy attracted all by performing Ram Charit Manas and Sunder Kand fluently. Birla had asked Neeb Karori Baba to take the final call on the young incumbent. On the very first look, MamarajJi told Narayan Swami, “Your life is dedicated to HanumanJi, better do that, why waste time by applying for priest. Your father has cheated HanumanJi”. Naturally, young Naryan Swami was confused and refuted the allefation. Neeb Karori Baba told Narayan Swami to ask his father. So did young Narayan Swami. On hearing the entire story his father was surprised and said Neeb Karori Baba is none other than HanumanJi himself, it has to be , “I had promised to offer my son (when born) to the service of HanumanJi but I did not as I was blind of love. I did not want to lose you. This was between me and HanumanJi. I did not tell your grandmother also”. His father told Narayan Swamy to do as MaharajJi tells him to do. Narayan Swami came back and told Neeb Karori Baba that his father has confessed and asked him to follow MaharajJi tell him to do. Since then, the family of Narayan Swamy has been serving HanumanJi and Neeb Karori Baba at the temple in Kashmere Gate.
