However, the much hyped biggest drone show had be cancelled due to the inclement weather.

As per protocol, the Breathing Retreat ceremony was graced by President Droupadi Murmu, who is also the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces. Entire north-India reeling under severe cold wave, mercury dips to 1.5 degrees Celsius in Delhi NCR

North India is reeling under severe cold. Intense cold wave are being witnessed across the region. From Uttar Pradesh to Rajasthan and Punjab to Delhi NCR, the normal life has been disturbed due to intense cold wave. Parts of Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh apart from Jammu and Kashmir region are having tourism booming with tourists poring in from all over the world to enjoy the winters. Many of these places are having winter carnivals, and festivals like ski and ice skating. Tourists are also enjoying the snow fall and play with the snow by making snowman.

People in order to beat the cold weather are seen sitting by the fire especially during the wee hours and late evening or night. These poor people regard this as a luxury and gather woods, wood dust all through the day. Well, life is even harder for those who reside or are compelled to stay on the roads and pavements. Though there are numerous ‘rain basera’ (night shelters) but not all get an accommodation owing to crowd. In some the people are required to provide details which for them is not possible as on average are either street urchins or vagabonds.

Entire north India including Delhi NCR is reeling under thick fog alongwith smog that is seen hovering all over the city. The travel has become slow as there is near zero visibility. Huge traffic jams are witnessed on the highways and flyovers.

Delhi, on Saturday with the minimum temperature in parts of the capital plunging to a bone-chilling 1.5 degrees Celsius. The Safdarjung observatory, Delhi’s primary weather station, logged a minimum temperature of 2.2 degrees Celsius lower than that of most places in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand and some hill stations in Jammu and Kashmir.

Postmortem report rules out rape, mortal remains consigned to flames

More revelations on Tuesday in the Kanjhawala drag and killing case. The Delhi Police in the morning had come up with a new revelation that the 20-year old girl Anjali was not alone on that fateful night but she was accompanied by her friend who had left the scene when the Bolenbo had hit her. However, the Police informed that the girl who also happens to be one of the eye-witnesses was cooperating with the Police in solving the case. “There was this second girl who was with Anjali is cooperating with us. We are recording all the statements under the Section 164 of CRPC under this the statement recorded is acceptable in the court”, said Dr Sagar Preet Hooda, Special Commissioner of Police, Law and Order, Zone-II during a Press conference. However, Hooda maintained that fresh sections will be slapped if rape or sexual abuse is proved in the postmortem report.

The family of the 20-year old girl which is under shock said they will not cremate the body unless the postmortem report is shared with them.

Around late afternoon, the postmortem report came and it was mentioned that no sexual assault or sexual abuse had taken place. It further said there were no abnormal marks on her body that is usually found in case of such brutality. The family agreed to cremate the mortal remains of the girl. However, they maintained that the accused should be given death sentence. In the meantime, few more CCTV footages have surfaced that shows the girl entangled in the excel.

Well, for the time being, the rape theory has taken a back stage but not totally wiped off as there are numerous missing links waiting to get connected. However, rape or no rape, there cannot be two views to the fact that had the Police stayed more alert and vigilant then atleast she could have been saved. Questions will be asked on what happened to the tall claims and big convictions by the Police promising on the security and safety preparedness on the eve of New Years.

The mortal remains were consigned to flames in the evening. Huge deployment of Police was seen out side her house upto the cremation ground.

Angry Delhi-ites demand no less than death sentence for the accused. People took to roads in the evening in a protest march and demanded stringent punishment. The protesters also raised slogans against the lacuna of the Delhi Police as they said had the Police been vigilant then things like this could have been averted.

Home Minister Amit Shah asks for report on Kanjhawala murder from Delhi Police, NCW demands confirmation over gang-rape

If you may recall that on the eve of New Years , the administration made tall claims that it would not only maintain law and order but will man each and every nook and corner of the city. The advisory by the Delhi Police said, over 16,500 Delhi Police personnel, 1,000 traffic officials, 125 anti-drinking squads, and 2,500 women police, over 1,200 mobile patrolling vehicles and more than 2,074 motorbikes would be deployed. Apparently, any city would feel safe just reading or listening. The Delhi incident compels to question the preparedness of the police on the eve of New Years day. A 20-year old girl in Sultanpuri, north-west Delhi, was hit by a Boleno and then dragged her for over 10 to 12 Kilometres. This was informed by the police on Monday, earlier it was said they had dragged for four kilometres and later said it was seven kilometres.

Update: Home Minister Amit Shah steps in and asks for detailed report from Delhi Police on the incident.

The case was registered at the Sultanpuri Police station. The crime had taken place at Kanjhawala area.

Crime is nothing in Delhi NCR new nothing new for Delhi that once topped the charts. The city has reported numerous cases of crimes against women. None of us have forgotten the shameful incident like the Nirbhaya (Jyoti Singh Pandey), the brutality that sent chill across spines. Well, not to talk of the regular cases that keeps surfacing in the city. The recent has ashamed not only Delhi-ites but humanity.

The prima facie reports suspected there was a rape after which she had been dragged but later according to police the rape factor was ruled out. This has come into light as the girl was found dead on the road nacked. Further, an eye witness says he had seen the girl being thrown out of the car. He had followed the car too but could not catch. However, here again there is a missing link. Hi

The Delhi Police later in the day on Monday, held a Press conference and informed that the five have been takin into remand for next three days after they were produced at the Rohini court. Special Commissioner of Police, Law and Order of Delhi Police, Zone II, Dr Sagar Preet Hooda said, they were waiting for the postmortem report following which the sections will be framed. However, the Police did the gangrape factor and said they are waiting for the report. Earlier, the Police were reluctant to accept the rape when the reporters covering the story ask the Police if they had found blood stains inside the car as there were blood stains on the tyre. The Police also informed that the accused were taken to the scene of crime and the scene of crime shall be recreated.

The name of the accused – Deepak Khanna, Amit Khanna, manoj Mittal, Krishan, and Mithun.

However, the National Commission for Women (NCW), Chairperson, Swati Maliwal, has taken cognizance of the CCTV footages and demanded an inquiry into the facts if she was gangraped before being dragged or she was thrown out on the roads after rape. Maliwal has directly questioned the Police on their alleged lacuna to have tracked the scene of crime, “I want to ask the Police how can they not even track the car dragging the 20-year old girl over 10 to 12 kilometres? I want the Delhi Police to confirm if the girl was ganraped or not?”. Maliwal said NCW will follow this case.

According to CCTV footage, the woman, Anjali, is seen stuck under the Maruti Suzuki Baleno. Inside the car there were five drunk men who continued to drag the girl over seven kilometers. She was found totally nacked dead lying on the road with broken body parts due to dragging of her body. The Delhi Police has however, said that it doesn’t appear to be rape and her cloths got torn when she was being dragged.

The truth is yet to surface as nothing still clear as what had happened. However, its a shame on the city and humanity and once again raises many questions on the safety and security of women. What was the 125 anti-drinking squads doing when these predators were driving drunk.

More revelations to come in next few days. It’s a building-up story. This also exposes the claims of administration promising safety and security of females. If such a thing can happen on New Year’s Eve when there was supposed to be heavy deployment of force, then it’s indeed scary and questions the safety and security of women once again.

Delhi BJP president Adesh Gupta claims responcibity for MCD defeat, resigns

Delhi BJP president Adesh Gupta has tendered his resignation taking responsibility for poor performance of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) elections. Gupta sent his resignation to JP Nadda, BJP national president which has been accepted as per the party sources.

“Following the directions of the BJP national president J P Nadda, we accept the resignation of Delhi BJP president Adesh Gupta. Till further notice Virender Sachdeva, Delhi state vice-president is appointed as president. This will come into force with immediate effect,” said Arun Singh, BJP national general secretary.

Vice-president Virendra Sachdeva has been appointed as the president in-charge till further notice.

The BJP ruled the MCD for the last 15 years but the party lost its reign to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) with a thin margin of 30 seats. The BJP won 104 out of 250 seats against the AAP’s 134. The BJP had won 181 seats last time.

Exit Polls show BJP winning Gujarat & Himachal Pradesh; MCD to AAP

Second and final phase of Gujarat Polls were held on December 5 (today). Some of the prominent people who cast their mandate includes Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, State chief minister Bhupendra Patel among others. The festival of polls came to an end for this year.

Exit Polls were held immediately after the polling concluded. Results for Himachal Pradesh, Gujarat, and Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) were discussed. Though, any Exit Polls cannot be full proof or the last say but still it helps to understand the trend of winning or losing in any polls. Also, there are possibilities that entire or part Exit Polls can go wrong totally but the chances are rare. The samples collected for the survey are done after immense research and analysis.

The poll season or fever comes to an end with the closing of second phase of Gujarat polls.

Different brands or poll analysts have different readings but the message is more or loss clear. Suppose Channel A is predicting Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) in lead then Channel B, C or D too have same reading, numbers may differ.

After returning to Delhi, PM Modi attended a party event at the BJP headquarters and discussed the 2024 general elections. This shows how serious this party is about winning elections. On the contrary, there is Rashid Alvi of Congress who on a television debate argued by saying “hum harenge kyunki hum jitna nahin chahte hain…” (We may lose because we were not interested in winning polls).

On average, in Gujarat, and Himachal Pradesh the trend is towards the BJP. Congress making a dent and AAP being totally wiped off in Himachal Pradesh (seats between 0 to 1). Congress is trying to revive atleast in Gujarat where Exit Polls show it behind BJP with around 30 to 40 per cent) votes. Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on average is fighting the battle with 1 to 15 seats.

Though it’s too early to predict as the picture may change on the actual counting day.

However, in MCD, the trends show that AAP has done good homework and is sweeping Civic Polls in Delhi with around 140 to 170 seats. This is indeed a very big development for a party that has lost its face value over liquor politics. Though, it’s not the ‘win win situation’ for the AAP but is getting the advantage of anti-Congress votebank.

The results for MCD will be declared on December 7, 2022. Results for Gujarat, and Himachal Pradesh will be declared on December 8, 2022.

Elect your councillor carefully, bring best in MCD

Barely 24-hours left for the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) polls. All the political parties have done their best in terms of campaigning.

The viral video of Satyendra Jain may or may not prove to be a game changer. Electorates by and large have decided who to elect.

Around 250 municipal wards will go to polls on Sunday. Like all civic polls, the MCD poll 2022 too has immense significance. Civic polls are directly connected with people and local issues. In case of issues relating to drainage, cleanliness, water logging, or anything regarding city roads etc, it’s the municipality that we first blame. In that case, you need to have a sound political party in the civic body as only then your problems will be solved and at present there is no other option but the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). It’s not that BJP has done mind boggling development across the ward the city but it has maintained a consistency like cleaning of garbages or roads and pavements.

The political tug-of-war is between BJP, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Congress. AAP has been making noise that people in Delhi will elect them in power. Dy chief minister Manish Sisodia in a recent campaign trail at Mayur Vihar, east Delhi, said, “दिल्ली को अगर सफाई और कूड़ा मुक्त करना है, तो आप की सरकार को लाना है…” (If you want a clean and garbage free Delhi then bring AAP in MCD”. Sisodia should have been told, least talk of development in Municipality but what has AAP done in the city? Not a single developmental project. On top of it it crippled Delhi with it’s liquor politics. Masterplan was flouted to open liquor shops, ‘thekas’ even 100 metre radius of religious places and educational institutions. People fumed, protested but it fell on the deaf ears of AAP that claim to be the perhaps only political party to think for people, women.

The stage has been set, ball set rolling… On Sunday people will excercise their franchise to elect their respective councilors and subsequently, mayor would be selected. The actual scenario will come to light on December 7, 2022, when results will be declared.

Expose soon on Kejriwal’s obligations to offer VIP treatment to Satyendra Jain, says BJP

The viral video showing Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) minister Satyandra Jain getting massage from a man inside his cell in Tihar Jail has put the party in serious trouble. Not only the man and the minister have violated the Jail rules but the man giving Jain massage is an alleged rapist serving punishment under POCSO Act. This means the AAP which jumped into the rescue of Jain immediately after the video surfaced stating it as a ‘anti propaganda’ by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and claimed that the minister was advised to take massage from doctor and the man giving him massage was a physiotherapist. This raised immense uproar as BJP held a press conference and proved that the man in the video giving Jain massage was not a “physiotherapist” but a ‘rapist’.

The AAP is in Catch 22 situation over the controversial viral video showing Satyendra Jain getting massage from a POCSO accused.

Earlier, manish Sisodia, deputy chief minister of Delhi and close confidant of AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal in the press conference said come what may, the party will not expel Jain. When asked about the allegations hurled at him, Sisodia said they don’t buy the allegations and one must not expect AAP would take action on whatever is being said… These were the defiant words of Sisodia.

However, the AAP members have ducked ever since the news of “physiotherapist’ being a rapist has come into glare. Kejriwal, too is silent and has been evading the topic by making rhetoric on morals and ethics. Pity! The party that came to power in Delhi on making tall convictions from stopping corruption to punishing the corrupt and drawing a sorry face is talking of ethics and morals.

BJP said that more press conferences will follow in the coming days that would expose the lies of AAP and also what are the obligations of Kejriwal to provide VIP treatment to Satyendra Jain.

MCD Polls 2022: BJP releases its manifesto, highlights ‘Jahan Jhuggi wahan makaan’ scheme

Finally, the elections for Delhi Municipal Corporations (MCD) have been announced. The dates were announced by State Election Commissioner Vijay Dev announced the dates on Friday. MCD elections will take place on December 4, 2022 and the counting of votes will commence on December 7, 2022. With the announcement of the dates, political parties – Bharatiya Jananta Party (BJP), Congress, and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) have fastened their seat-belts to find ways to impress and woo the voters. The real fight is between BJP and AAP. BJP which is already in power in the civic body in the state says people will not vote for AAP as they are in no mood to take the false convictions by AAP. BJP has slammed the AAP over playing a dirty political game over liquor politics. One of major attraction of the BJP’s manifesto in the MCD polls is the ‘Jahan Jhuggi wahan Makaan Scheme’, permanent houses for the slum dwellers.

On Friday, today, BJP Delhi chief Adesh Gupta and the party MP Manoj Tiwari released the party’s manifesto for the upcoming Delhi civic polls. The BJP national president JP Nadda Earlier on Wednesday chaired a Delhi BJP core group meeting at his residence in the national capital over the elections.

Permanent ‘pucca’ houses to slum dwellers: BJP released its ‘Vachan Patra’ or commitment letter promising houses for slum dwellers under the ‘Jahan Jhuggi wahan Makaan Scheme’. It may be recalled, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated 3,024 newly constructed Economically Weaker Section (EWS) flats last month under the national capital as part of an In-Situ Slum Rehabilitation (ISSR) project and handed over their keys to slum dwellers at Bhoomiheen camp.

These flats were built by the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) under its in-situ slum rehabilitation project.

Let’s take a glance at some of the other salient features of the m,anifesto or ‘Vachan Patra’:

  1. Proper disposal of garbage in the capital. Garbage disposal has been one of the key issues in the national capital ahead of the civic body polls.
  2. Checking corruption in government departments.
  3. Improvement of civic amenities.

The ‘Wachan Patra’ has a form which they will fill and the BJP workers will submit them to the departments concerned and the slum dwellers will get houses.

The rival AAP will also launch its manifesto soon.

There will be 13,665 polling stations across the 250 wards, while the total number of voters in the city stands at 1.46 crore, according to the electoral rolls with the qualifying date of January 1, 2022. The results will be declared on December 8, 2022.

Poll results will expose tall claims of political parties

Finally, it’s election time in India. Two assembly polls back to back. Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat. Also, elections for the Delhi Municipal Corporation is scheduled on December 1, 2022. Himachal Pradesh will go to polls on November 12, 2022 and Gujarat will go to polls on December 1, and 5, 2022 respectively.

Campaigning has come to an in Himachal Pradesh which is going to polls on Saturday (November 12). Entire day, political parties – Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and rival Congress which is in power in the state.

Barely, 48 hours left for the people to cast their mandate in Himachal Pradesh and things will be clear on December 8, 2022.

Similarly, In Gujarat, there are chances of a showdown for the BJP which has been in the ruling chair for 25 years. The rival Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) had been saying that people are eagerly waiting for a change and claiming that they would vote for the AAP.

Talking of the Delhi civic polls, it would be quite interesting to watch the outcome. If people vote for the AAP then it would be a shame for the BJP that had been holding rallies and press conferences exposing Kejriwal and his government over the liquor politics. If people in Delhi elect the BJP then this will be an eye opener for the Kejriwal who played a dirty politics by allowing liquor mafias to enter Delhi and even allegedly tampered the Master Plan of the Delhi. Liquor mafias were allowed to open their shops within 100 meters radius of having religious, educational institutions.

Recenly, during a rally Kejriwal had announced that Muniocipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) polls will be fought on the pile of garbages and took the conviction to remove all the mess within five-years.

Things will be clear on December 8, 2022 when the results of the MCD Polls will be announced.
