BJP and Congress outshine each other in respective states, AAP could not put a dent even

The Assembly elections in Delhi Municipal Corporation (MCD), Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh were indeed interesting and exciting. Apart from the polls which has its own fun and charm especially for journalists who bask in the news of elections and related developments with the announcement of poll dates. The polling in all the three were Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) v/s Congress v/s Aaam Aadmi Party (AAP). In MCD, the BJP was wiped off by the AAP. However, in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh, the picture was little unpredictable – AAP was nowhere in Himachal Pradesh, and in Gujarat it could bag only four seats. BJP bagged over 157 seats in Gujarat and broke its own record.

Congress in Himachal Pradesh bagged 40 seats giving sleepless nights to BJP which has two sitting MPs who are also the ministers. JP Nadda is also the BJP national president and Anurag Thakur is union minister. Both of them represent Himachal Pradesh and had done extensive campaigning ahead of the polls. The question will be asked to them as what did they really see and on what grounds gave their reading that BJP will win the state.

Eventful day indeed, as per the trend, in the evening Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the party headquarters in Delhi and greeted all the workers. He expressed his gratitude to all for making BJP win in Gujarat which is also his home state and he had been the chief minister for 10 years. Infact, Gujarat fought the battle in the name of Prime Minister Modi in the backdrop as its poll icon.

There was a confusion in the Himachal Pradesh Congress over the name of chief minister. Three name came up – Pratibha Singh (widow of former chief minister Birbhadra Singh), Sukhvinder Singh ‘Sukku’, and Mukesh Agnihotri. The issue turned in serious party conflict and on Saturday, a team of senior Congress leaders – Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, Saurabh Shukla,Chattisgarh chief minister Baghel were set to find a name. The name of Sukku was finalised as chief minister and Agnihotri’s name was making rounds for possible deputy chief minister.

Poll results will expose tall claims of political parties

Finally, it’s election time in India. Two assembly polls back to back. Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat. Also, elections for the Delhi Municipal Corporation is scheduled on December 1, 2022. Himachal Pradesh will go to polls on November 12, 2022 and Gujarat will go to polls on December 1, and 5, 2022 respectively.

Campaigning has come to an in Himachal Pradesh which is going to polls on Saturday (November 12). Entire day, political parties – Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and rival Congress which is in power in the state.

Barely, 48 hours left for the people to cast their mandate in Himachal Pradesh and things will be clear on December 8, 2022.

Similarly, In Gujarat, there are chances of a showdown for the BJP which has been in the ruling chair for 25 years. The rival Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) had been saying that people are eagerly waiting for a change and claiming that they would vote for the AAP.

Talking of the Delhi civic polls, it would be quite interesting to watch the outcome. If people vote for the AAP then it would be a shame for the BJP that had been holding rallies and press conferences exposing Kejriwal and his government over the liquor politics. If people in Delhi elect the BJP then this will be an eye opener for the Kejriwal who played a dirty politics by allowing liquor mafias to enter Delhi and even allegedly tampered the Master Plan of the Delhi. Liquor mafias were allowed to open their shops within 100 meters radius of having religious, educational institutions.

Recenly, during a rally Kejriwal had announced that Muniocipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) polls will be fought on the pile of garbages and took the conviction to remove all the mess within five-years.

Things will be clear on December 8, 2022 when the results of the MCD Polls will be announced.

Campaign gears up after EC announces poll dates in Gujarat, tough battle between BJP & Congress

On Thursday today, all speculations came to an end with the Election Commission (EC) announcing the dates for polls in the state. Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar said Gujarat will go to polls in two phases on December 1 and 5 with the counting of votes on December 8 along with that of Himachal Pradesh.

There are total 182 assembly seats in the state, voting for 89 seats will be held on December 1 and the balance 93 seats on December 5 respectively.

Close fight is between Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Congress, and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). Congress is yet to gather its strengths and jump into the hurdle. However, large number of locals in the state are saying they want to opt for a change in governance, which means either they would go for AAP or Congress. Congress till now is yet to organize themselves. AAP gets the votes by incumbency factor.

The Commission had announced elections to Himachal Pradesh on October 14 but skipped declaring polls for Gujarat. Whom does the people of Gujarat votes would be known only on December 8 but if we go by the trends then the there is a strong undercurrent for a change in the governance.
