Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia was produced at the Rouse Avenue Court on Monday afternoon. Sisodia, a close confidant of Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Convenor Arvind Kejriwal, was arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Sunday evening after grilling for eight hours.
The Aam Aadmi Party had staged a massive protest near the Court and had plans to gherao the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) office. There was heavy deployment of the police, Rapid Action Force (FAF) was made along the route. Senior police officers of Special Commissioner of Police rank maned the street outside the Court.

The police even prepared a dummy scene ahead of Sisodia’s car came inorder to feel the pulses of the agressive crowd. Sisodia arrived little after 3:15 pm. The party also staged protests outside the Bharatiya Janata Party’s Headquarters at the Deen Dayal Upadhyay Marg in the national capital. Entire traffic crumbled on the route.

During the hearing, the council for Manish Sisodia pleaded his client was not guilty and moved bail plea. CBI said Sisodia was not co-operating in the investigation. To this, Sisodia’s Council said, their client is not liable to accept whatever CBI asks him or confess to the allegations, Sisodia has full liberty to reply or remain silent. CBI in reply to this said they did not ask Sisodia to agree to what CBI says or confess but expect Sisodia to co-operate in the investigation.
CBI requested the Court to allow five days remand as they have many things to ask Sisodia including the sudden increase in margin for liquor vendors from five per cent to 12 per cent.
Coming days many be that smooth for Sisodia as CBI will be asking questions Sisodia many questions that will also put the AAP in uncomfortable situation.
